Sitting at my desk...

my space,
comfy chair,
wrapped in a toasty warm cable-knit wool  sweater (used to be my Dad's),
leather motorcycle boots make me feel I could kick Chuck Norris's butt twice before breakfast,
palms warmed by a hot cup of tea,
orange pekoe redolent in my nose and tart on my tongue,
head tipped up, eyes closed; a trace of sunlight through the window, through eyelids,
isolation headphones make the background bustle silent
    and give me instead,
Marc Cohn's sublime "Walking in Memphis".

Life is good.

I'm trying to buy something really cool for my parents for Christmas, and my thought is to give them a New York night--a Broadway show
and maybe dinner at a strack place.

I'm looking at what's playing on Broadway and it's tough to pick something that they will both enjoy.  Wicked seems like a possibility--it's getting great reviews, and I think it might work for both of them, maybe.  Not sure, though.

What do the rest of you think?  Anyone seen it and have any thoughts on whether a pair of 60-somethings from the suburbs would enjoy it?
