Quoted from "If you're coming from LiveJournal to Dreamwidth: What's Missing?"

"Snap.com previews — This won't be added — we generally think it's better off dead. People who like them can install Snap.com's technology on their browser."

Thank you!  This is almost enough to make me switch by itself.

So, as you may know, I'm getting started on iPhone development.  It will be weeks or months at best before I actually have an app finished and in the App Store, but I can't help looking ahead.  If you own an iPhone, please drop a comment in this thread.  If / when my app ever goes live, I'll send you a promo code so that you can download it for free (and then, of course, delete it if you don't like it :>)

[Edit:  This post, by the way, is brought to you by the "burning your bridges" department--now that I've publicized this, it would be far too embarrassing to give up on it, so I'll just have to do everything in my power to make this app happen. :>]

Spent most of the day either writing specs or trying to get a handle on the Interface Builder (the WYSIWYG tool for building UIs fast).  The spec is pretty well developed; I've got at least three stages of development mapped out, and the first should be simple.  Unfortunately, it's the second which is likely to be the big draw.

As to Interface Builder, I am not yet to a useful point with it, but I am at least making visible progress.  I'm going to try creating a project without it to see what's going on "under the hood", in hopes that this will help sort it out.

In other news, I'm up in CT for my parents 40th anniversary this weekend.  They're so cute--each of them is planning a surprise for the other. :>  Both of them have told me about it with instructions not to tell the other.
